Asphalt Materials - part of The Heritage Group - has acquired Wisconsin-based companies HG Meigs and Meigs Transport in a bid to expand in the Midwest.
Geoff Dillon, president of Asphalt Materials, says: "Together, our companies will be stronger and better able to serve our customers for decades to come."
Both Meigs companies focus on liquid asphalt and pavement preservation products. They have three terminals in Portage, Abbotsford and Eau Claire and supply a network of customers in the upper Midwest.
HG Meigs and Meigs Transport president Dustin Mueller says: “Being part of Asphalt Materials will help us continue on the good work we've always done at Meigs and grow for the future. I expect Asphalt Materials to be a terrific home for our employees.”
