Asphalt worker killed underneath machine in Tulsa

Rick Deeter, a 59-year-old asphalt worker, was killed after being crushed by an asphalt machine in Tulsa. According to a report by KRMG: “Emergency crews were called to the scene around 10:00 am. Tuesday.”

The Police confirmed the incident took place when workers were unloading the machine when it fell on top of the victim in the parking lot of Southern Hills Marriott near 71st and Riverside.

Sergeant Shane Tuell, says: “He fell underneath it and the asphalt machine rolled up on top of him.”

Investigators used special equipment to remove Deeter’s body, the report adds.

A medical examiner is now looking into the exact cause of the death.
