Command Alkon unveils TrackIt Turn-Key Service

Command Alkon says its new TrackIt Turn-Key Service will eliminate the risk of hardware investment for GPS truck tracking and telematics. It will replace hardware failures or repair warranty issues at no charge to the client and eliminates upfront capital expenditure costs, the company adds.

The service offers new ruggedised tablet options with replaceable batteries and engine interface devices.

Monty Newport, senior vice president of sales and customer success, says: We’ve bundled together all the hardware, technology, engine connectivity devices, and installation into a single predictable monthly package.”

The solution, according to Command Alkon, will also benefit clients with requirements for robust engine diagnostics. It also comes with a new Engine Data Connection device along with a specialised software stack from Noregon, to provide users with improved engine data. In addition, fleet managers and operators to capture and transfer the engine diagnostic data from their trucks more easily.

TrackIt is available with two hardware options, including Samsung Galaxy Tab Active II and through Panasonic Tough Tab B2.
