HeidlebergCement achieves near the top position in CDP rating

January 31, 2019

HeidelbergCement has been ranked near the top in CDP’s sustainability ratings for 2018 with an A- in the categories of climate change and water.

CDP, formerly Carbon Disclosure Project, rates the commitment and transparency of companies in relation to environmental and climate protection with scores ranging from A to D-. The rating is intended to promote competition in the area of sustainability and encourage corporates to set ambitious environmental protection targets.

Dr. Bernd Scheifele, chairman of the managing board of HeidelbergCement, says: “This is a strong confirmation that we are on the right track with our Sustainability Commitments 2030. The excellent result encourages us to further reduce our ecological footprint across all business lines and on a global level.
