Metso is launching a new cone crusher which it says offers improved kinematics, a raised pivot point and an increase in power to create a 15% capacity increase.
The Nordberg HP900 Series cone crusher also comes with a new lubrication system to help support the new performance level.
Jim Bathie, vice president, mining crushers at Metso, says: “Often copied but never matched, HP cone crushers have satisfied many aggregates and mining customers around the world. With the HP900 we go straight to the point, with increased performance and reduced CAPEX.”
According to Metso, the cone crusher's tramp-release system allows the passage of tramp iron minimising production stoppages and protecting internal components.
The HP900 is an upgrade to the HP800 cone crusher. Approximately 80% of the parts are compatible between the two technologies, the company adds.
The cone crusher is delivered pre-assembled, pre-wired and factory tested. The equipment is packaged with a rubber-pad mounted subframe and guards allowing quick and safe setup with a compact footprint.
