NRMCA announces partnership with Utah Ready Mixed Concrete Association

October 11, 2017

The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) has formed a partnership with Utah Ready Mixed Concrete Association (URMCA) to expand its relationships with local and state concrete and industry-related trade associations throughout the United States.

URMCA formed recently through the efforts of founding and NRMCA members Metro Ready Mix, Geneva Rock, Staker Parsons, Altaview Concrete, Ashgrove Cement, Lafarge Holcim Cement and Mountain Cement. Leadership roles include Chairman Jay Ritchie of Geneva Rock, Vice Chairman Scott Reynolds of Altaview Concrete and Secretary/ Treasurer Matt Wood, Ashgrove Cement.

Ritchie said, “We will promote ready-mixed concrete throughout the state of Utah by marketing ready mix applications to architects, engineers, contractors, departments of transportation, economic development partnerships, state legislators and private developers. We’ll also provide technical resources such as training seminars, workshops, certifications and recognition ceremonies relating to all ready-mixed concrete applications.”

He also highlighted the need for URMCA members to coordinate activities for lobbyists in their efforts to educate state legislators and regulatory agencies that affect the ready mix industry. Members will also aim to build coalitions with other material producers and aligned industry associations.
