The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) has selected Randy Lake, CRH Americas Materials, chairman of its board of directors during its Annual Convention, in Houston. He told NSSGA members at the event that executing the Rocks Build America 2020 strategic plan will be critical to achieving positive results for the industry.
“The potential impact of a $1.5 trillion investment in our infrastructure would be incredible, and should be the focus of the association and member companies throughout the year. “Our collective voice is stronger than any single company."
Lake leads a group of companies across 43 states with over 22,600 employees and 1,200 locations as the CEO of the vertically-integrated construction materials company.
In addition, he has held a variety of operating positions since joining CRH in the Americas in 1996, which started in Architectural Products Group as general manager of several block and paving stone manufacturing facilities.
Michael W. Johnson, NSSGA president and CEO, said that the association and member companies are looking forward to Lake’s leadership. “We are very fortunate to have someone so experienced and dedicated to the industry as Randy to lead us through the next year. He is the ideal person to lead our association through the tremendous opportunities ahead,” he said.
