The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) is beginning its second season of its podcast series with an interview with the 2019 chairman Bob Weldon. He talks about growing up in the aggregates industry and his goals for the association as it creates a three-year strategic plan.
He says: “Our products feel indispensable. You cannot build a road or bridge without aggregates. Our highways cannot be paved without our materials. Just think of the impact we can make collectively [on Congress] if each of our companies could host their elected representative in our facilities to see first-hand what we do and why we matter. There is no one better suited to make the case for infrastructure investment and for our industry than us,” he said.
