Telsmith launches Hydra-Jaw Crusher to boost safety and uptime

July 30, 2018

Telsmith says its Hydra-Jaw Crusher provides mining and aggregates producers with durable components for increased uptime and safety. The solution's toggle tensioning system saves time and costs by eliminating the need to adjust springs when changing the setting, the company adds.

A mechanical spring assembly secures each hydraulic toggle end to its toggle seat to help remove the need to adjust the springs when the setting is changed.

The toggle system features a hydraulic cylinder which incorporates a large piston for high crushing forces and an oversized rod for stability and strength.

According to Telsmtih: "The bushing and seal are designed to hold up to the rigors of constant crushing in a dusty environment while delivering long service life with minimal maintenance."

The firm's hydraulic chamber clearing system allows the crusher to start within 15 minutes. The push button controls allow the hydraulics to crush stones which remain in the chamber to prevent oversized material from passing onto the product belt.

Hydra-Jaw Crusher is available in the as a stationary, track and wheeled portable plant configurations.

The jaw series is available in four models, the H2238, H2550, H3244 and H3450 with crusher closed side settings from 2 inches (51mm) to 8 inches (203mm). The product's crushing capacities range from 100 short tons per hour (91 mtph) to 688 short tons per hour (614 mtph).
