Construction input prices decreased 0.9% in September compared to the previous month, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) analysis of new U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Producer Price Index data. Nonresidential construction input prices also decreased 0.9% for the month.

Holcim has signed an agreement to acquire OX Engineered Products, a leading U.S. provider of advanced insulation systems for residential and commercial applications, with 2024 net sales of US$136 million.

More than US$3 billion was invested in modernising the ageing plant to reduce odours, better prepare for earthquakes and rising sea levels, ensure operational reliability and efficiency, and maximise biogas utilisation. Built in 1952, the SEP treats 80% of the City's sewage and stormwater flows. Cemex provided about 50,000 cubic yards of Vertua concrete to help fortify and renew the plant. 

The American construction industry added 25,000 jobs on net in September, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) analysis of new data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. On a year-over-year basis, industry employment is up by 238,000 jobs, an increase of 3%.

Lippmann has appointed Dillon Borchardt as its new territory sales manager. In this role, Borchardt will manage relationships with dealers, provide support to customers and contribute to the company's sales efforts across the United States, Mexico and Canada.
