CEMEX included for third consecutive year in key sustainability index

CEMEX has been included for the third consecutive year in the Dow Jones Sustainability MILA Pacific Alliance Index. 643 CEMEX has been included for the third consecutive year in the Dow Jones Sustainability MILA Pacific Alliance Index.

The Mexico-headquartered global building materials heavyweight  was chosen after an assessment of the company’s business practices, recognising its performance on environmental, social, and governance criteria. CEMEX was one of only 58 companies selected from a field of 190 invited companies.

“We are honoured to be included in the Dow Jones Sustainability MILA Pacific Alliance Index, underscoring the key role that sustainability plays in our strategy,” said Vicente Saiso, CEMEX corporate director of sustainability. “This recognition reaffirms our commitment to build a better future for all of our stakeholders.”

Launched in 2017, the Dow Jones Sustainability MILA Pacific Alliance Index is designed to measure best-in-class companies from members of the S&P MILA Pacific Alliance Composite that fulfil certain sustainability criteria better than most of their peers within a given industry. The countries included in the Latin American Integrated Market (MILA in Spanish) are Mexico, Chile, Colombia, and Peru.
