In order to reduce the CO2 emission, the Polish cement producer Cemex Polska has so far invested some €18.64 million to replace coal with alternative fuels thanks to which the usage of coal in its two cement factories dropped from 300,000 to 100,000tonnes.

In order to reduce the CO2 emission, the Polish cement producer 643 Cemex Polska has so far invested some €18.64 million to replace coal with alternative fuels thanks to which the usage of coal in its two cement factories dropped from 300,000 to 100,000tonnes.
In the meantime the company plans to build a wind farm with seven turbines which will have a total power capacity of some 30mw in Chelm in partnership with PGE Energia Odnawialna.
The opening of the farm is due to take place in 2015.
