Changes in senior management

The Holcim Group has also announced a series of changes in its senior management that will further “streamline and focus the leadership of the group. At the same time, these moves will strengthen the development of a new generation of leaders with broad commercial and technical experience as well as a sound track record in occupational health and safety.”

The 680 Holcim Group has also announced a series of changes in its senior management that will further “streamline and focus the leadership of the group. At the same time, these moves will strengthen the development of a new generation of leaders with broad commercial and technical experience as well as a sound track record in occupational health and safety.”

Member of the Holcim executive committee Bernard Terver will assume responsibility for Africa Middle East as well as the Indian subcontinent (India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh) while Ian Thackwray, also a member of the Holcim executive committee, will become responsible for East Asia, South-East Asia, Oceania and Holcim Trading. With this move, important regional synergies in terms of increased collaboration can be reaped over time. Daniel Bach, currently CEO of Holcim Romania, will be appointed area manager for South-East Asia and a member of senior management of Holcim Ltd.

Alain Bourguignon, currently CEO of 1707 Aggregate Industries UK, is appointed area manager for North America/UK and member of senior management of Holcim Ltd. He will be reporting directly to the CEO of Holcim Ltd.

All changes become effective 1 January, 2014.
