Manufacturer and supplier of crusher spare parts and crusher services Crusher Manganese Steels has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade for outstanding achievement in export sales.

Founded in 1989 Crusher Manganese Steels marketing its business under the trademark 401 CMS Cepcor has successfully grown into a leading aftermarket manufacturer and supplier of precision crusher spare parts and premium manganese wear parts and crusher repairs, servicing the quarrying and mining Industries worldwide.

Having recently announced a further expansion of its manufacturing and distribution facilities at its Coalville, County Leicestershire, England headquarters, it says the award has “quantified this expansion and underlined the success of its export sales strategy.”

CMS Cepcor has exported to over 450 customers in 88 countries over the three-year period covered by the application, and it says that despite the worldwide economic recession and credit crisis, export turnover increased by 16% in 2010 and then a further increase of 58% in 2011.

Now exporting to over 100 countries, CMS Cepcor’s projected turnover in its current financial year ending April, 2012, will exceed £21 million (€25.7 milloin), a further 20% growth. It has refocused its export sales strategy on new markets, particularly in Africa, Europe and the Americas.

The company says its growth has been achieved through a focus on optimisation of web presence together with an engineering focus on producing quality products plus an expansion of the range of services offered to its increasing customer base. More overseas visits for direct contact with customers and establishing business partners in key overseas territories also aided its growth.

Matthew Weare, managing director, said: “To receive this highly prestigious award is fantastic recognition of our success. CMS Cepcor is grateful to the hard work and dedication of all its employees who have contributed to this outstanding performance and to the support of its valued suppliers and customers, old and new.”

The company added that one element of its current success is investment in its UK engineering facility which incorporates CNC machining capabilities; specialist tooling; coordinate measuring equipment and the latest CAD design capabilities

Its in-house material testing and quality assurance department has also seen recent investment in the form of specialist material analysis equipment.

CMS Cepcor says it has also substantially increased direct sales of crusher spares to market leaders in aggregate production worldwide including the recent signing of a Global Framework Agreement with a global market leader in aggregates.
