DustScanAQ names new MD

UK-based dust and air quality consultancy DustScanAQ has appointed Claus Hjoerringgaard as its new managing director. Hjoerringgaard is an experienced leader with over 25 years' experience of promoting strategic growth and business development with national and international companies. He has held senior leadership roles at global consultancy firms such as Fichtner Consulting Engineers, Mott MacDonald and Wood. He replaces Geoffrey Walton who now serves as chairman. UK-based dust and air quality consultancy DustScanAQ has appointed Claus Hjoerringgaard as its new managing director.

Hjoerringgaard is an experienced leader with over 25 years' experience of promoting strategic growth and business development with national and international companies. He has held senior leadership roles at global consultancy firms such as Fichtner Consulting Engineers, Mott MacDonald and Wood.

He replaces Geoffrey Walton who now serves as chairman. Walton established the company in 2004 as a spin-off from 1749 Leeds University.

Sam Wootton has also joined the firm for his sandwich year between the second and third years of his course in Environmental Science at Bournemouth University. He is gaining experience in laboratory skills and assists with a range of dust and air quality work.

DustScanAQ provides consultancy services to a range of sectors including minerals, oil, gas, recycling and waste management.
