Eurocement increases stake in Holcim to 10.8%

Russian company Eurocement Holding has increased its stake in Swiss cement company Holcim to 10.8%, up from 10.1% in autumn 2011. This represents a further CHF 100 million (€83.1 million) investment. Eurocement Holding said that it had used the company's low share price as an opportunity to buy more shares. It also emphasised that its investment in Holcim was a financial investment, and that it does not want any representatives on Holcim's board.

Russian company 3704 Eurocement Holding has increased its stake in Swiss cement company 680 Holcim to 10.8%, up from 10.1% in autumn 2011.

This represents a further CHF 100 million (€83.1 million) investment.

Eurocement Holding said that it had used the company's low share price as an opportunity to buy more shares. It also emphasised that its investment in Holcim was a financial investment, and that it does not want any representatives on Holcim's board.
