UK-based 1343 Hanson Cement has appointed Claire Philliskirk as field sales manager of its packed products business.

Philliskirk reports to Andy Simpson, national commercial director – packed products, and will coach and support its national sales team as it adopts a new sales programme designed to add value to customers and the service they receive.

Previously at O2, Philliskirk has a proven track record in using technology to analyse and transform the sales process and won the Best Woman in Technology Sales Europe category at the 2016 Women in Sales Awards.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to work more closely with our customers, understand their strategy and ensure our service aligns with this,” said Philliskirk.

“From digital marketing and point of sale merchandising to staff training and product support, the customer is at the heart of everything we do and collaboration is key. I look forward to working with the team to achieve our goals.”

Simpson added: “We have made significant investment in our sales team over the last 12 months and are delighted to welcome Claire on board. Her people management skills and expertise in digital technology will add another dimension to the way we operate, as we aim to deliver a first-rate service that goes beyond that of a product supplier.”
