New director for Lafarge UK

Lafarge has announced the appointment of a new managing director for part of its UK operations. Shaun Davidson is to take on the role for the asphalt and contracting divisions. He moves from the position of vice-president general manager of Lafarge’s Central European division to the new pots but was also previously a director of the UK asphalt business.

Lafarge appoints Caroline Hempstead as new head of communication

Caroline Hempstead has been appointed as head of communication, public affairs and sustainable development of LafargeHolcim effective from 1 December 2015, reporting to CEO Eric Olsen.

Since 2007, Hempstead has been responsible for the global corporate affairs team at pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, where she also chaired the sustainability council.
