Lafarge has announced that it has sold a 11.2% stake in Malaysia-based Lafarge Malayan Cement Berhad through a placement on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. The company has retained a 51% shareholding in the Malaysian business and the €141million raised by the sale is in line with Lafarge’s divestment programme announced in February.
