The leading Chinese construction and quarrying equipment manufacturing sector figure was one of 16 outstanding business leaders presented with the ‘Leading Figure of First International Capacity Cooperation Award’. Chairman Guang’an and the 15 other award recipients were chosen from a pool of 450 candidates. They received their prizes at the First International Capacity Cooperation Leading Forum held in Beijing on Sunday 9 September.
Organised by the ICCNDRC and the SRIPCPC, the forum’s goal was to showcase best-practice examples of Chinese enterprises and entrepreneurs going global; and how to ensure efficient international cooperation around the ‘One Belt, One Road’ Initiative (OBOR).
During the forum’s round table discussion, chairman Guang’an spoke about how LiuGong was among leading Chinese corporations working to deliver OBOR. He introduced LiuGong's global layout and emphasised how the Liuzhou, China, headquartered company cultivates international talent. LiuGong has 1,500 foreign employees coming from over 30 countries, accounting for more 20% of the company’s employees.
