Martin Knoetgen, vice president of
Middle East and Africa (EMEA) operations, has been appointed president of EMEA.
Knoetgen, who was appointed by Tony Helsham, CEO of Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment, will assume his new role from 1 June, 2012. He will replace Scott Nelson, who has been president of EMEA since June 2010.
Announcing the change, Helsham explained that, for personal reasons, Scott Nelson has decided to leave the company.
Noting the important contribution that he has made to the company, Helsham said: “I would like to thank Scott for his strong leadership and valued contributions to our company. Delivering on our promise to our dealers and customers to provide quality, value-added products and services that support their business success is at the core of what we do. In finding a successor, it was important to appoint someone who embodies this promise in the same way as Scott has done as EMEA president.
“I am therefore pleased to announce that Martin Knoetgen is assuming the position of president of Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment (EMEA), reporting to me.
“Martin Knoetgen has served as the vice president of EMEA operations for the past two years. With more than 15 years of general management and operations experience, he has a balanced leadership approach and a demonstrated ability to deliver on short-term goals while developing strategies and executing against the long-range plan.”
Prior to joining Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment, Martin Knoetgen served as the president and General Manager at Dalphi Metal, a subsidiary of TRW Automotive Holdings Corporation. He also spent more than three years as the director of operations in Europe and four years as plant manager at TRW.
