Dr Bernd Bohr is to become the new supervisory board cairman at German off-highway diesel engine manufacturer
He replaces Hans-Georg Härter, who steps down on 31 December 2018 having been chairman of the supervisory board since 2015.
Bohr (62) joined the DEUTZ supervisory board in 2018. A freelance management consultant, he was previously head of automotive technology at Robert Bosch and is a member of various supervisory bodies. He has extensive business and technical expertise as well as many years of experience at various industrial companies.
“With Mr Härter at the helm of the supervisory board, DEUTZ has been able to establish crucial foundations for the future, in particular the move into electrification under the E-DEUTZ strategy,” commented Dr Frank Hiller, chairman of the board of management of DEUTZ. “We would like to express our sincere thanks to him for the commitment and sense of purpose that he has shown in his work."
He added that Bohr will continue to support the company in an advisory capacity.
The candidate proposed by Hans-Georg Härter for the resulting vacancy on the supervisory board is Dr Ulrich Dohle, formerly CEO of Rolls-Royce Power Systems and MD of MTU Friedrichshafen.
