Russian firm Ulyanovskcement’s cement production up 14.5% in Q1 2012

Russian firm Ulyanovskcement, part of the Eurocement group, boosted its cement production by 14.5% to 807,000tonnes in Q1 2012. Its output slightly exceeded 705,000tonnes in Q1 2011.

Russian firm Ulyanovskcement, part of the 3704 Eurocement group, boosted its cement production by 14.5% to 807,000tonnes in Q1 2012. Its output slightly exceeded 705,000tonnes in Q1 2011.

Meanwhile, the volume of the company's products shipped to customers rose by 13% in Q1 2012 to 814,000tonnes. A combined total of 39.2million tonnes of cement and 10m³million tonnes of concrete are produced each year at the 16 plants belonging to the Eurocement group.

Hengyuan Group’s Russian cement plant will have 2.5 million tonnes/year capacity

The capacity of a cement plant to be built by Chinese company Hengyuan Group in the Orel region (Central Federal District) of Russia will total 2-2.5 million tonnes/year.

The project, which will take three years to implement, will see investments exceeding US$400 million (€309.15 million).

The regional government may participate in the project, although the main share will belong to the Chinese company.

Lipetskcement’s cement and clinker production increases

In Russia, Lipetskcement (part of Eurocement Group) produced 1.398 million tonnes of cement and 1.046 million tonnes of clinker in 2013 (23.3% and 2.6%, respectively, up on 2012).

A total of 178,000tonnes of packaged cement was produced (+19%). Cement CEM I 42.5N accounted for 644,500tonnes (+82.5%) and 1.41 million tonnes of cement was shipped to customers (+23.7%), including 896,000tonnes shipped by train (+37.3%).
