Agg-Pro specialises in the supply and support of machinery to the aggregate, processing and recycling sectors. The company offers a wide range of crushing, screening and washing equipment backed up by exceptional service and support.

Centrally located in the Midlands, Agg-Pro was founded in 1996 to provide a personal, customer focused approach to the supply of equipment for the quarrying and recycling industries. The company is known for representing key brands like McCloskey, GIPO, Jonsson, Lippmann, Tesab, McCloskey environmental, CRS NI and MWS.

Geoff Caves, Chairman of Agg-Pro, said: “Over the past three years, we have put in significant effort to prepare the business for future growth. After careful consideration, we have chosen to sell the business to SMT, viewing this as a key step to unlock Agg-Pro's potential as an industry leader. I am confident this is the right step with a strong cultural fit."

Nick Allen, CEO SMT GB, said: “The acquisition of Agg-Pro marks a significant step in the growth strategy of SMT in Great Britain. The company is an excellent fit with SMT in terms of its customer-focussed culture complementing our existing business. I’d like to personally welcome all Agg-Pro employees to SMT.”

As part of the acquisition, all Agg-Pro will operate as a subsidiary of SMT GB to retain focus on serving the customer base.

“SMT has targeted crushing & screening and environment & recycling as key growth areas where we aim to lead in sustainable and integrated solutions. The acquisition of Agg-Pro is a fantastic start in these segments. We look forward to welcoming passionate and talented individuals. Partnering with MPP, part of Metso Corporation, and GIPO will also help us expand into new regions, and we are thrilled to work with such esteemed industry leaders,” says Jérôme Barioz SMT Group CEO.

“We welcome the opening of this new chapter in Agg-Pro history and our presence in GB. Geoff and his team have done a fantastic job since Agg-Pro was created in 1996. SMT will bring a different set of competencies, additional resources that will enable Agg-Pro to grow further. We are excited to take our common business to the next level in our industry” commented Niko Aunio Senior Vice-President of MPP.
