Steven, who began his new senior role on 12 August, has a long track record with the CPA. He is currently the CPA Chair and has been a CPA Council Member for ten years. He has extensive experience in the construction plant industry, having run his family business, Mulholland Plant Services, for many years.
CPA President Brian Jones said: “On behalf of CPA Council, I congratulate Steven and I wish him every success in his new role as CPA Chief Executive. Steven has a tremendous amount of experience in the plant rental industry and having been the CPA Chair for over six years and a Council Member for several more years, is familiar with the Association, the CPA team and many of our members.
“Steven has formed part of several working groups, including the Plant Sector Representative Organisation (PSRO) and those carried out with CITB. He has also been a board member of the Scottish Plant Owners Association (SPOA) for many years. I am confident he will lead CPA to new levels of support for our members’ businesses.”
When Steven officially starts his new role as CPA Chief Executive in August, Brian will work closely with Steven, supporting and engaging with him as a part of the team in the early months of his tenure.
Steven Mulholland said: “I am delighted to continue my work with the CPA and look forward to commencing my new role as Chief Executive. In my view, the most important factor is continuity. CPA Council Members, CPA staff, and the Executive Team have all done a fantastic job of getting our Association to where it is today. It has grown in numbers and improved professionalism in the services we can offer members, and this must continue in an ever-changing world.”
In other developments, Adam Godwin will also become a Director of CPA, reporting directly to the Chief Executive. Adam, currently the CPA Communications Manager, has been employed by the CPA for over 19 years and has been involved in a full range of CPA activities.
