Having recently celebrated 50 years in business, 8662 Taylor & Braithwaite (T&B), a construction and quarrying equipment company based in Cumbria, North West England, is gearing up for a big future after appointing a new sales representative for the firm’s expanded sales boundaries.

T&B’s portfolio includes top brands such as Maximus, Pronar and Rubble Master, but the latest addition of Hyundai equipment has led to the increase in geographical sales coverage. As well as continuing to cover Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Cumbria, Durham, North Yorkshire and Lancashire, T&B will now also sell into East and West Yorkshire. This means the company  is now the Hyundai dealer for all North England.

Bev Walker will be T&B’s Hyundai’s sales person for East and West Yorkshire, promoting the Hyundai range to new and existing customers as well as introducing T&B throughout the newly expanded sales area.

Walker worked 17 years at Finning UK, mostly in the used equipment area handling trade-ins, dealers and retail sales. T&B thought she would be an excellent addition to the team with her background knowledge and experience in the construction industry.

“I am really excited about the challenge of a new company and change of role. T&B have a good set up and are well established in their current territories. I am ambitious for the future,” said Walker.

With 2017 being T&B’s 50th trading year, the company held a charity ball in October 2017 at the prestigious Low Wood Bay Resort in Windermere. Guests included customers, suppliers and friends of T&B as well as Harold Taylor and Trevor Braithwaite, the company founders. A great night was had by all, it wasn’t until after the event had taken place that T&B realised just how successful the evening had been. T&B and friends managed to raise an amazing total of £34,015.66 for Cancer Research UK.

Towards the end of the year T&B became ISP members of the NFDC, showing their commitment to moving forward and setting themselves high standards for the future.

T&B would like to thank everyone who has supported them over the past 50 years and hopes to have another successful year in 2018 and many more after that.
