The new site has been built as part of the Dutch Tech Campus by PingProperties, in collaboration with construction company Aan de Stegge Twello.
This new facility features a 3,000 square metre warehouse and 1,500 square metre office space. It will be a new home for Topcon logistics, order fulfilment and service and repair departments.
Developed with sustainability in mind, the new building is completely gas-free, utilises an intelligent and efficient climate control system, and features LED lighting throughout.
The site will be used to house over 40 Topcon employees to start with, but the space has been built to give the European business space to grow.
Topcon is a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of precision measurement and workflow solutions for the global construction, quarrying, mining, geospatial and agriculture markets.
Jaap de Jong, director, Operations Europe (Retail & Distribution) for Topcon, said: “The new site in Zoetermeer represents a new era for our European warehousing and distribution and really helps as a solid base for our supply chain and efficiency improvements across the region.
“The facility is a much bigger location for our teams, giving us room to grow whilst helping support our business to be as sustainable as possible. The physical move was conducted over several days by a team of dedicated Topcon employees, with over 146,000 pieces moved over. This undertaking was definitely worth it, though, and we look forward to continuing to deliver the first-class service we’re known for from our new base.”
