Italcementi's new share emission achieves 99.42% subscription

Italcementi, the Italian construction material specialist, has achieved a 99.42% subscription for its new share emission worth €497.1 million, La Repubblica has reported. The option offer is reported to have involved 103.62 million new shares, of which 103.03 million shares were subscribed. A total 1.394 option rights for 597,570 shares were not underwritten and will be offered on the market until tomorrow (8 July 2014).

Italcementi sells 5.24% of West China Cement

Italian cement manufacturer Italcementi has sold its 5.24% stake in West China Cement, which is listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange, through its Chinese subsidiary, CimFra.

The operation is worth HKD 341 million (€38.80 million/US$44 million), subject to adjustments relating to a derivative contract that was underwritten with Credit Agricole CIB at the same time.

AMF approves Italcementi's simplified tender for Ciments Français

The French financial markets authority (AMF) has approved the simplified tender offer from Italian cement group Italcementi for French construction materials group Ciments Français.
Currently, Italcementi holds 29,997,248 Ciments Français (CF) shares, representing 84.48% of the capital and 91.38% of the voting rights. The Italian firm is committed to acquiring the remaining 5,510,801 shares in CF that it does not already hold (15.52% of the capital and 8.62% of the voting rights) at a unit price of €79.50.
