Elaine Donaghy, marketing manager from 3652 Terex Washing Systems, (TWS), has picked up the Marketer of the Year 2014 Award at the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Ireland Marketing Excellence Awards.

She won the award for spearheading the company’s global marketing strategy, and her award was accepted on her behalf by company colleague Gary Stewart from award sponsor, Mukesh Sharma, managing director of Selective Travel. She was attending another awards ceremony in Amsterdam, Holland.

The CIM Marketer of the Year category is open to entries from individuals, in any organisation or sector, who have demonstrated exceptional marketing skills, knowledge and initiative throughout the last 12 months.

“To be awarded Marketer of the Year award is undoubtedly the pinnacle of my career. Gaining this level of recognition from the leading international professional marketing body, Chartered Institute of Marketing Ireland, is an absolute honour,” said Elaine, who has been a marketing professional for over ten years. She was appointed marketing manager for TWS just over two years ago.

TWS was highly commended for a second award, Marketing Exporter of the Year.

Speaking at the 15th annual awards ceremony at Belfast City Hall, Christine Watson, chair of CIM’s Ireland Board, said: “These awards recognise the impact that marketing has on the economy in Northern Ireland and the hard work and dedication of people working in this profession. We’ve recognised 15 individuals and companies and commended many more for delivering marketing campaigns which played a major part in the success of our recovering economy.”
