Lafarge cement plant in Ashaka, Nigeria, attacked by Boko Haram

Following a previous attack in November 2014, French construction group Lafarge's cement plant in Ashaka was subject to a new attack by Islamist group Boko Haram on 4 December 2014, according to witnesses. The militants are thought to have stolen vehicles before being pushed back by Nigerian military forces. A spokesperson for Lafarge did not confirm the attack but said that there had been 'trouble' in the vicinity of the plant and that there were no victims or damage caused.

Following a previous attack in November 2014, French construction group 725 Lafarge's cement plant in Ashaka was subject to a new attack by Islamist group Boko Haram on 4 December 2014, according to witnesses.

The militants are thought to have stolen vehicles before being pushed back by Nigerian military forces.
