Organisers say that 7345 Plantworx, the UK’s largest working construction equipment machinery exhibition, is expected to be a sell-out, with some 90% of stands already sold.

Visitors to the show, being held at Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome, County Leicestershire, England, from 2-4 June, will see the latest plant and machinery operating in real site conditions, with compact plant featuring alongside mid-range equipment, tools and services.

Indeed, the hundreds of brand new products will include many world-firsts, with new launches confirmed from companies such as 633 JCB, 429 Hyundai, ECY 7782 Haulmark, Avant Tecno, Cat 3006 Finning 7493 Takeuchi, 436 Komatsu, 7493 Takeuchi, and 7497 Wacker Neuson.

The site spans over 100,000m², and many exhibitors will be encouraging visitors, who present the correct operator’s licence, to try the kit first-hand and put the machines through their paces on one of the many demonstration areas.

To date, some 311 exhibitors have committed to the show and of these half will be exhibiting at the event for the first time. In terms of size and exhibitor numbers the 2015 show has already exceeded the 2013 exhibition by 20%.

The undercover Pavilion is already full and a very small amount of demonstration area is available. Rob Oliver, CEO of the 7474 Construction Equipment Association (CEA), said: “Since the turn of the year space bookings have gone crazy. It may be that we will have to start a waiting list soon. The pavilion sold out a month ago and the remaining demo space is going very fast.

“We are delighted at the support the industry has shown for Plantworx and the show is and will always remain a show for the industry by the industry.”

In response to the current skills shortage in the construction equipment sector, the final afternoon (after 12noon on Thursday, 4 June) of the show will be a Plantworx Student Afternoon where Plantworx will be inviting students and teachers from primary and secondary schools and colleges to visit the show  to get a taste of the construction equipment sector. There will be no lower age limit after 12noon and the afternoon is aimed at encouraging youngsters to look at the construction equipment sector as a career.

Visitor registration is now open for Plantworx and entry is free.
