EMS has been appointed as the new official dealer of articulated and rigid 8080 Terex Trucks in the Republic of Ireland.

Headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, EMS will be providing sales, service and parts for Terex Trucks ADTs and RDTs .

Established in 1989 and operating with dump trucks since 1996, EMS’s team of 11 staff have gained over 30 years of experience with dump trucks in the region.

“We started discussions with Terex Trucks last year following the acquisition by 473 Volvo Construction Equipment, and we are extremely encouraged by the support and involvement that we have received,” said Seamus Flynn, sales director for EMS. “Terex Trucks is a good fit for where we want to take our company going forward. The company is actively engaged and interested in our business, and is equally passionate about our market. With Volvo CE’s involvement, we have great expectations for where we can take the brand together.”

A Terex Trucks TA300 has already been delivered to EMS and will shortly be sent out for customer demonstrations throughout the region. The company has already started customer quotes for Terex Trucks products.

Guy Wilson, Terex Trucks sales and marketing director EMEA explained why the new partnership comes at the perfect time.

“The Republic of Ireland is beginning to recover after five years of recession, and we’re starting to see confidence returning to the market,” he said. “EMS has a comprehensive customer base in our targeted industry in Ireland. They have excellent back-up service capabilities, and a dedicated and focused sales team. We are confident that now is strategically the right time to get into the market, and EMS has the experience and highly skilled team to bring Terex Trucks successfully into the market.”

EMS works with customers across the region in plant hire, heavy civil engineering and quarrying. As well as sales, the EMS professional service team has at least 26 years of experience working with dump trucks and will be fully trained at the Terex Trucks Motherwell facility.
