Moroccan cement company Ciments du Maroc (Italcementi), which has three plants in Morocco, intends to open a grinding centre in the north of the country by the end of 2016, thus highlighting its priorities, sustainable development and envrionmental protection.
Italcementi is second in the country in the cement market, with 24% market share, and is Lafarge's main competitor.
The company aims to expand to Guinea, Western Africa, where several projects have been identified. Works are due to begin in 2015
