Lafarge Africa has completed and delivered 2,000 houses in Nigeria and it is planning to invest in more mass and low-cost housing projects in the country.
It is estimated that Nigeria has housing shortage of 17 million for middle and low income groups and Lafarge Africa intends to help the government reduce the deficit.

Lafarge Africa has partnered with the federal government to build houses in Ogun state for 1,000 villagers as well as affordable houses in Abuja.
The company also has signed an agreement with LAPO Microfinance Bank and French Development Agency (AFD) in 2013 for a project costing NGN 1.30 billion (€5.79 million/US$6.53 million) to build affordable houses for 3,500 low-income earners across the country.
