441 LiuGong’s Global Construction Machinery Technology Forum was being held today in the Chinese manufacturing giant's newly opened Global Research & Development Centre in Liuzhou, southern China.

Around 300 distinguished guests from government officials, industry and association leaders, experts and scholars, internationally renowned component manufacturers, leading dealers and customers of LiuGong and trade media gathered to participate in the Forum. The event showcased LiuGong's great innovation energy and gave a platform to discuss the construction equipment industry and its technology.

In recent years, the global construction machinery industry has been hit by the global economic crisis that hit in 2008, ushering in a new period of adjustment and markets' uncertainty. Today's Forum has heard how global customers have paid more and more attention to energy saving, efficiency promotion, emission reduction, safety, and easy maintenance of construction equipment. Attendees were told that one of the key problems facing the construction equipment manufacturing industry is how to change the mindset of OEMs R&D to adapt to the ever-changing market demand and anticipate growth opportunities against peers.

The Forum was also placing great importance on technological trends and innovation, and today's discussion was mainly focused on the topics of 'Age of Big Data and the Opportunities and Challenges Brought by Industry 4.0', 'Global Trend of Construction Machinery Market', 'Technologies and Solutions to Cope with Emission Regulations Around the World', 'Energy Saving and Efficiency Improving Strategies of Construction Machinery Drive System', and 'Future Development Trend of Construction Machinery Hydraulic System'.
