It gained first place in the industry's Best Performance Supplier of the Minerals Processing Segment and third place in the Best Overall Performance Supplier of Mining.
Phibrand, a company specialising in industry marketing, conducted the study for the fourth time in collaboration with Chile's Ministry of Mining; Industrial Suppliers Association of Mining (Aprimin); Chile's National Mining Society (SONAMI); Association of Engineering Consultants (AIC), and Editorial Group EDITEC, a leading publisher in Chile.
The ranking of suppliers of the mining industry in Chile is a quantitative study and globally unique in the mining industry.
The results of the study provide a ranking of each evaluated supplier company, and its direct competition in its target market. The information collected is said to be the broadest within the Chilean domestic industry in terms of coverage of segments of this market, evaluated brands and participation of mining companies and their professionals.
This was the fourth time the study was conducted; and 215 Chilean mining industry professionals from the country's most important mining and engineering companies operating in Chile took part in the study.
According to the study, Metso ranked first place as the company with the best performance last year in all sub-segments associated with the minerals processing category, thus receiving the rankings of best company in crushing solutions; best company in mill solutions, and best company in plant maintenance.
