Algeria: Orascom Construction wins two contracts worth US$180mn

Egyptian company Orascom Construction has won two contracts in Algeria worth a combined value of US$180 million. It is reported that the main contract deals with civil engineering works on the Laghouat cement plant, a project which FLSmidth will manage. Orascom Construction will be the subcontractor of the globally-renowned Danish group. The Orascom share in this project is said to be close to $140 million.
