The 4522 National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association has unveiled a new resource to address an aggregates industry workforce shortage during the 2016 Annual Convention and AGG1 Academy & Expo in Nashville, USA (22-24 March).

The association’s Jobs Board is designed to allow aggregates operations to highlight the good-paying, highly-skilled jobs available around the country.

“We have heard from our member companies that they continue to face a shortage of employees,” said Michael W. Johnson, association president.

“Aggregates operations are rewarding places to work, both financially and intrinsically. Jobs in the aggregates industry don’t just pay well, they also enable our workforce to go home every night knowing that are literally producing the products that are the foundation of America’s economy and future. This resource will inform more people  about the opportunities to be part of this great industry.”

In addition to the Jobs Board, available on NSSGA’s home page, the association is planning a mainstream media campaign to bring awareness to the diverse array of jobs available in the aggregates industry.

“Our operators employ scientists, mechanics, equipment operators and engineers at all levels, and we want to spread the message that this exciting and rewarding industry is hiring,” Johnson said.
