Tajikistan’s cement plant project

Tajikistan company Ghayue Cement and China's Huaxin Cement have launched the Huaxin Ghayue-Sughd Cement plant in the Sughd region of Tajikistan. The investments in the project totalled TJS 1 billion (€113.81 million/US$127.08 million). The plant's capacity amounts to 1 million tonnes/year.

Huaxin Cement to develop Kazakhstan cement production plant

China-based Huaxin Cement is preparing to invest US$150 million in building a cement production plant in Kazakhstan’s Aktobe region. A linked agreement on the project was finalised by Aktobe's provincial governor and Huaxin Cement on 13 December 2015. The cement plant is due to have production capacity of 1.5million tonnes/year and will use natural gas instead of coal in its production process.

Nepal: Investment Board of Nepal approve foreign cement producers’ factory builds

The Investment Board of Nepal (IBN) has reportedly approved foreign direct investments (FDIs) of US$1.45 billion from India's Reliance Cement, Nigeria's Dangote Cement as well as China's Hongshi Holdings Group (Hongshi) and Huaxin Cement to build cement plants with total daily capacity of 2,200tonnes.

Hongshi is partnering with Shivam Cement of India to build a cement plant with 6,000tonnes/day capacity. Construction is scheduled to start in January 2017, with production getting underway in 2019. Hongsh
