Russia sells over 25 million tons of rock/aggregates in Q1

The volume of supply of rock and aggregate materials on the Russian domestic market exceeded 25.68 million tonnes in the first quarter of 2016. Of these 79% accounted for high-endurance rocks (30.8%, granite; 23.9%, gabbro; 3%, diabase); 9.2% for limestone; 6% for gravel, and 2.5% for sandstone. The volume of supply of rock and aggregate materials on the Russian domestic market exceeded 25.68 million tonnes in the first quarter of 2016.

Of these 79% accounted for high-endurance rocks (30.8%, granite; 23.9%, gabbro; 3%, diabase); 9.2% for limestone; 6% for gravel, and 2.5% for sandstone.

In the first quarter of 2016, among the main producers of solid rock were Pavlovsk Nerud (1.5 million tonnes) and Granit (1 million tonnes), while in the production of limestone the top spots were taken by the Biyankovsky crushed stone plant (427,700tonnes); Building Materials Industrial Complex (311,000tonnes), and Minyar Open-pit mine (295,500tonnes).
