Saudi Aramco picks SNC-Lavalin for asphalt expansion

Saudi Aramco (Saudi Arabian Oil Company) has awarded an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contract to Canada-based SNC-Lavalin for the asphalt production expansion project at the Ras Tanura refinery. Local subsidiary Saudi Arabian Kentz will handle the 18-month contract execution, which includes comprehensive engineering and detailed design, procurement, installation, construction and commissioning. Saudi Aramco (Saudi Arabian Oil Company) has awarded an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contract to Canada-based SNC-Lavalin for the asphalt production expansion project at the Ras Tanura refinery.

Local subsidiary Saudi Arabian Kentz will handle the 18-month contract execution, which includes comprehensive engineering and detailed design, procurement, installation, construction and commissioning.

The expansion will increase the 22,000barrels/day asphalt production at Ras Tanura to 42,000barrels/day.
