Marmomacc/Archmarathon team up to promote natural stone

6611 Marmomacc, the landmark event for the natural stone sector worldwide, and Archmarathon, have launched a collaboration project to promote and valorise natural stone in architecture.

Archmarathon is an international architecture event, organised by publisher PubliComm, that brings together 42 design studios from various countries worldwide, and it boasts an attendance of more than one thousand visiting architects.

At Marmomacc (28 September-1 October, Verona, Italy), Forum Area in Hall 1 will be home on 30 September and 1 October) to many architecture studios taking up the challenge using stone.

An international jury will evaluate the three most impressive projects involving stone materials from among those taking part.

A second selection will take place during Marmomacc 2017 and the six best projects (three in 2016 and three in 2017) will compete for the first Archmarathon Stone Award that will be consigned on the occasion of Archmarathon 2018.

Marmomacc will host meetings between the studios taking part in the award and leading Italian and foreign exhibitors.
