Holcim Indonesia reports cement sales growth of 41%

Gary Schutz, the president of Holcim Indonesia, is reported as saying that the cement company has reported cement sales of 2.67 million tonnes in the first quarter of 2016, up 41% from a year ago. Sales grew by 24% to IDR 2.45 trillion (€161.95 million/US$184.38 million). National demand for cement grew by 4% during the quarter. Gary Schutz, the president of 680 Holcim Indonesia, is reported as saying that the cement company has reported cement sales of 2.67 million tonnes in the first quarter of 2016, up 41% from a year ago.

Sales grew by 24% to IDR 2.45 trillion (€161.95 million/US$184.38 million).

National demand for cement grew by 4% during the quarter.

The company is projecting that cement sales will grow by 5% in 2016 to 63 million tonnes/year.

Following the acquisition of 725 Lafarge Cement Indonesia, the company has increased its crushing capacity, and its capacity at Lhoknga, Aceh, has also increased by 15%.
