Indocement to appeal decision to revoke permit

Indonesian cement company Indocement Tunggal Prakasa (Indocement) plans to appeal the decision by the Semarang Administrative Court revoking its permit to develop a cement plant in Pati, Central Java. The appeal will be submitted at the Surabaya High Court. Indonesian cement company Indocement Tunggal Prakasa (Indocement) plans to appeal the decision by the Semarang Administrative Court revoking its permit to develop a cement plant in Pati, Central Java.

The appeal will be submitted at the Surabaya High Court.

The public protested against the construction of the cement plant for fear of environmental damages including difficulty in accessing clean water as well as danger of flood.

Indocement has spent nine years conducting studies as well as processing the permit application to develop the IDR 8 trillion (€525.7 million/US$600.62 million) cement plant.
