St Petersburg stone output up 3%

According to LSR. Bazoviye Materialy, the output and sales of crushed stone in St Petersburg and the Leningrad region, Russia, grew by 3% in Q1 2016. The upward trend is explained by a growth of the demand for this kind of regional products and a decrease of supplies from Ukraine. The licensing of the crushed stone imports from non-member states of the Eurasian Economic Union was introduced on 14 August 2015.

According to LSR. Bazoviye Materialy, the output and sales of crushed stone in St Petersburg and the Leningrad region, Russia, grew by 3% in Q1 2016.

The upward trend is explained by a growth of the demand for this kind of regional products and a decrease of supplies from Ukraine.

Russia’s aerated concrete market in St. Petersburg and region totals RUB 900mn

The aerated concrete market in St Petersburg and Leningrad region totalled RUB 800-900 million (€14.1- 15.9 million/US$16.15-18.17 million) in Q1 2015.

The production totalled 250,000-260,000m³, the sales in North-West shortened by 5-7% to 230,000m³ year-on-year.

The largest producers are said to be: LSR. Stenovie materialy-Severo-Zapad (Aeroc); H+H; EuroAeroBeton; STK, and 211-KZHBI.

The outlook for market size in 2015 is 1 million m³

Russia: St.Petersburg's concrete market to grow 7% in 2013

Experts anticipate a 7% growth of the ready-mix concrete market in St Petersburg and the Leningrad region of Russia in 2013 compared with 15% in 2012.

The market, however, is expected to retain its structure, except that some small companies are likely to quit business. In Q1-Q3 2013, 4.6 million m³ of concrete was produced in the region (compare with 6 million m³ in 2012).
