Part of the Tesa Group, CGT employs approximately 1,600 people with a controlling interest in several other companies. It is also the Caterpillar dealer in the Balkans and Malta, focusing on the construction, energy and logistic markets.
CGT became part of the Sandvik family in January 2016, and since then it has enjoyed “an extremely successful start as a distributor for mobile crushers, screeners and surface drill rigs.”
In order to mark and celebrate its distributorship, CGT held its first customer event dedicated to Sandvik equipment. Invited guests were able to see live demonstrations of mobile crushers, screens and surface drill rigs, together with a selection of Caterpillar equipment. Other equipment was also displayed for close inspection.
Andrea Elli, Marketing Manager for CGT, said: “240 companies, totalling approximately 600 people, walked through the gates of the event on and the level of interest was what struck us most of all.
“Companies from all over Italy visited the event including many of the major players in the Italian construction industry. All of which were extremely impressed with the recent innovations which we believe have opened opportunities that we will look to finalise from now to the end of the year.”
Among SAndvik equipment on display were the QE241 and QE341 mobile scalpers; QJ241 and QJ341 tracked jaw crushers, as well as the Commando DC125 and Ranger DX800 surface drill rigs.
Eugene Lyons, Global Sales and Marketing Director for Sandvik Mobile Crusher and Screeners, said: “It was great to see the appetite for the equipment and the great turn out.
“As we are aware, the Italian Market has been quite stagnant in previous years. However now we are seeing added enthusiasm, new projects and great confidence, our partnership has great potential for the future, in the short, medium and long term.”
