Breedon Group triumphs at 2016 AIM Awards

Breedon Group’s £336 million acquisition of Hope Construction Materials earlier this year has been recognised with a coveted ‘Transaction of the Year’ award at the recent 2016 AIM Awards in London. The award was presented by BBC news anchor Sophie Raworth to Breedon Group Chief Executive Pat Ward, Group Finance Director Rob Wood and Group Services Director Ross McDonald at a glittering ceremony at Old Billingsgate.

The award is given in recognition of “a significant achievement by a company in transforming itself, literally at a stroke, and thereby creating significant shareholder value.”  Breedon’s acquisition of Hope Construction Materials made it the UK’s largest independent construction materials company.
