Readymix estimate €54m pre-tax loss

Readymix, the Irish building materials and cement producer, has estimated a pre-tax loss of €54million in 2011.

4298 Readymix, the Irish building materials and cement producer, has estimated a pre-tax loss of €54million in 2011.

The firm said its total impairment during the year was also expected to reach €39million, including a €27million impairment charge between 1 July and 31 December.

Revenue for 2011 dropped by 15%, and operating loss before exceptional items was estimated to reduce from €15million in 2010 to around €13million last year.

Readymix unveils first quarter loss

Irish company Readymix recorded pre-tax losses of €3.8million in the first quarter of 2010, a modest improvement on losses of €3.9million for the corresponding period the previous year. The concrete products company's first quarter revenues slumped 31% against the same period the year before. Revenues were hit by a decline in prices across several product lines, while subdued construction industry activity continues to have an adverse impact.

Kemek pre-tax profit narrows 33% on sales decline

Irish company Kemek, half-owned by building materials group CRH, reported a decline by 15% in revenue year-over-year to €13.20 million in the fiscal year ended December 2011 from €15.50 million in the previous year.
Pre-tax profit of the industrial explosives company dropped 33% to €812,000 from €1.2 million as the firm incurred EUR 1.57mn non-cash depreciation costs. Accumulated profit amounted to EUR 10mn with the number of workforce fell to 44 people from the previous 55 people in 2011.

Breedon Group posts pre-tax profit increase for H1

Construction materials supplier Breedon Group increased pre-tax profits by 30% year-on-year in the first half of 2019.

Announcing its unaudited interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2019, the Great Britain and Ireland-based group said that an improved performance had been delivered across its business. Profit before tax in H1 2019 reached £39.5m, up from £30.4m in the first half of 2018.
