Karkosik buys PBG with an eye on Asian raw materials

Przedsiebiorstwo Badan Geofizycznych (4703 PBG), a Warsaw-based geophysical testing firm, has been bought by the wealthy Polish businessman Roman Karkosik, for €3.42million.

A new figure in the raw materials market, Karkosik is said to have revealed that PBG is now working on a variety of projects in the field, and on Asian ones in particular.

Unofficial sources are reported as saying that Karkosik is keen to create business opportunities in Mongolia. According to information obtained by Puls Biznesu, Karkosik is also in talks with shareholders of the Polish crushed aggregate producer 1826 Dolnoslaskie Surowce Skalne (DSS). DSS has a 2,700 hectare concession in Mongolia to explore for 'rare earth elements'.
