Heidelberg Cement has appointed Kay Middendorf as director of global logistics

Heidelberg Cement’s Romaina subsidiary has announced the appointment of Florian Aldea as its new CEO from 1 January. Aldea takes on the role from Mihai Rohan who will remainon the board of directors for two years after Aldea assumes his new post.

The Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA) has appointed Claude Loréa as cement director. She will take up the role in early November and will be based at the association’s offices in London. Loréa joins the GCCA from European cement industry body, CEMBUREAU where she is deputy chief executive and industrial affairs director. Bernhard Pagenkemper has been appointed as the new machinery division sales director at Haver & Boecker in Germany. Pagenkemper, who has worked at Haver & Boecker for 20 years, previously headed up the company’s cement business unit. In his new role he is responsible for the cement, building materials and minerals, chemicals, mineral processing technology and technical customer service divisions.

Ireland-based CRH has announced that it has appoint Maeve Carlton as its new finance director, replacing Glenn Culpepper who has resigned from the post in order to return to the US. Chartered accountant Carlton joined CRH in 1988 and has held a number of roles in group finance where she was appointed as group controller in 2001 and more recently head of group finance in 2009.
